A ground-up account of September, compiled from the 15 match days that reached the log and every goal, assist and card recorded along the way. Player of the Month and the shortlist below weigh goals- and assists-per-game alongside raw totals, so a player who turns out twice a week is judged on the same terms as one who never misses a session.
